AW25 Windrush - One Way Ticket: A Tribute to Forgotten Hopes, Struggles, and Roots

The collection “Windrush - One Way Ticket” pays tribute to the Commonwealth communities, primarily from the English-speaking Caribbean, who journeyed across oceans between the 1940s and 1960s in search of a better future in Britain. It also honors the fathers, brothers, and uncles who, despite being far from home, held firmly onto their roots and identities.

Faced with administrative and social challenges, these men laid the foundation for early resistance movements against imperialism, sparking labor and decolonial movements that redefined global identities.

This collection draws inspiration from this legacy, reimagining a contemporary wardrobe. Workwear, sportswear, and English tailoring merge with a uniquely Caribbean sensibility. Thoughtful details infuse the pieces with dignity and understated elegance, honoring the resilience of those who refused to lose themselves in the face of displacement.
